Estimates vs confirmed charges

Duty and VAT are added on the invoice based on what you bought and its declared value, so they are not part of this freight estimate.

Frequently asked questions

How much does shipping to The Bahamas cost?

Air freight is $1 per pound on actual weight, with a $10 minimum for packages up to 10 lb, and no dimensional weight charges. Ocean freight is $200 for a half pallet and $350 for a full pallet. Bahamas Customs duty and 10% VAT are itemized separately on your invoice.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes, the minimum air freight charge is $10, which covers packages up to 10 lb. Above 10 lb you pay the actual weight at $1/lb.

Do you charge dimensional (volumetric) weight?

No. We bill on actual weight only. A bulky but light item (like a pillow or lampshade) is billed by what it actually weighs, not by box size.

Is consolidation really free?

Yes. We hold packages at our Florida warehouse for up to 14 days at no charge so you can group several US orders into one shipment. No membership, no per-package fee.

What appears on my invoice?

Freight, Bahamas Customs duty, 10% VAT and the customs processing fee, each on its own line. Optional services you ask for, such as purchasing help or packaging, are listed separately too.

When and how do I pay?

We invoice you once your shipment is ready. Pay online through the customer portal (secure card payment), by bank transfer, or cash-on-delivery depending on your account setup. Shipments travel to Nassau before you pay. Payment is due before you receive your goods; paying cash on delivery at hand-over counts.

Is there a documentation fee?

There is no documentation fee on standard shipments. When a shipment needs extra paperwork, a documentation fee applies based on the documentation required.

How much is Bahamas Customs duty?

Duty varies by tariff code and is set by Bahamas Customs, not by us. Some items, such as books, are reduced or duty-free, and 10% VAT applies on top. Use the Duty Calculator for an estimate; we pass duty through exactly as charged and don't mark it up.

Do you offer business or volume discounts?

Yes. Regular shippers, retailers, restaurants, and contractors can qualify for business pricing and account terms. Contact us with your monthly volume and we'll quote you.

How is ocean freight priced?

$200 per half pallet (48×40×30 inches max) or $350 per full pallet (48×40×72 inches max). Ideal for furniture, appliances, building materials, and bulk wholesale orders. Customs duty and VAT still apply.

Do prices change by island?

No. The $1/lb air rate and pallet pricing are the same whether you're in Nassau, Grand Bahama, or a Family Island. Transit times differ but the rate doesn't.
